Dead Man's Cheese Ball

Here is a nice recipe for all your "big" Spooks you may have this Halloween! :)

Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon prepared hot mustard
2 dashes chipotle hot sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup port wine
1/2 cup black sesame seeds
Directions
In the container of a food processor, combine the Cheddar cheese, sour cream, butter, horseradish, hot mustard, chipotle sauce, garlic and port wine. Pulse until smooth. You can use a potato masher in a large bowl but it will take longer.
Line a bowl with plastic wrap, and fill with the cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat just until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Gather the plastic wrap around the cheese mixture and form into a ball. Remove the plastic wrap and roll the ball in sesame seeds to coat. Place in the center of a platter and surround with your favorite chips or crackers.

Robinson/Davis Wedding

This past Saturday we were honored to be a part of the Robinson/Davis Wedding in Lebanon at College Hills Church of Christ. This was one of my favorite weddings this year due to the fact that we love this couple as a client and as dear friends of ours! Caroline Robinson knew exactly what she wanted at her reception! She went with the traditional 1:00 pm wedding with cake, nuts, and punch served at the reception! Caroline Graduated from the CIA in Baking and works for Julia's Bakery so naturally she designed her own wedding cake!! WOW Beautiful!!!! We provided Ginger Tea for the punch and a homemade "trail mix" which included nuts, coconut, cranberries, dried banana's and an assortment of other ingredients, as well as the table linens at the reception. The guests walked away with caramel dipped candy apples with a pretty black bow tied to each one! As a caterer we have catered many big and over the top weddings with full meals and appetizers but sometimes simple is better and this was one of the most elegant and one of the prettiest weddings we have catered this year. But, it may have just been because of the wonderful personality of the bride and groom!
